Yay! Way to go Ms. Wendy!!! I am so, so, so very happy for you.
Thank you Henry! I'll report back after schmoosing with them all. What fun!
Goodness, that is a bit of good luck. Awesome! You'll definitely have to post the play-by-play. Tell us everything!!
Great blog!
Question: How did you find your readers? Do you pay them?
Many Thanks,
Kbrebes
Kbrebes,
No I don't pay my readers. I've found a very supportive online group at goodreads.com in the On Fiction Writing group and I've exchanged manuscripts with several people back and forth. This means that I critique for them and they for me--though they are faster than me so I do more reading. (some are crazy fast writers!) I suggest you become involved either on goodreads, or Agent Query, or LinkedIn Aspiring Authors and start chatting until you make a connection with someone. Trust is important. THis means I don't just walk in and say "Hey! I need a reader!" Instead, I comment on their topics, visit a little, get to know them, then try to connect with the ones that I feel would be a good match for me.
Hope that helps and thanks for stopping by!
